The 15th Annual Taste of Soul was scheduled to be held Saturday, October 17, 2020. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 Pandemic has changed Los Angeles, The United States and The World. Therefore, after careful consideration and several discussions with elected officials, healthcare professionals and community leaders, we have made the decision to cancel this year’s Taste of Soul Family Festival for the general health and welfare of our community.
Bakewell Media, The LA Sentinel, our valued partners and sponsors are already hard at work planning Taste of Soul 2021 to ensure that when Taste of Soul returns on October 16, 2021, it will be Bigger and Better than ever!!!
As you know, Taste of Soul shines a bright light on our Black Businesses, especially Black Restaurants and Black Catering Businesses. We can all make a difference in helping our Black Businesses recover from Covid-19 and the challenges experienced through the economic shut downs within our city. In the coming weeks, we will publish more information in the Sentinel on A CALL TO ACTION PLAN for our readers and the 350,000+ Taste of Soul Nation (attendees) to support our community, register people to vote and support all the Black Businesses in the community severely affected by Covid-19.
If you are interested in sponsoring a Black Business, please contact our staff at the LA Sentinel.
Yours In Brotherhood
